Terms of Service

1. Service Description

OfficeBestie is a developer work management platform that integrates with Slack, Jira, GitHub, and Google Calendar to help engineering teams manage their work with less friction. The service provides personal briefings, focus tracking, help routing, project intelligence, and team analytics.

2. Account & Workspace

Your account is created when your workspace administrator installs OfficeBestie. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API tokens and authentication credentials. Each workspace is isolated — data from one workspace is never visible to another.

3. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you create in OfficeBestie. We process your data only to provide the service. You can export all your data or request deletion at any time via /my/privacy. See our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use OfficeBestie to: store sensitive personal data (health records, financial data) in action items or todos; use the platform for surveillance of individual engineers; attempt to access data from other workspaces; or reverse-engineer the service.

5. Privacy Commitment

OfficeBestie is designed with privacy as a core principle. Engineer data (todos, coaching, personal patterns) is private by default and never visible to managers. Check-ins and focus topics are shared with the team in the daily pulse for collaboration visibility. Managers see only team aggregates and items engineers explicitly choose to share via /flag. This is not configurable — it is a fundamental design choice.

6. Third-Party Integrations

OfficeBestie connects to third-party services (Slack, Jira, GitHub, Google Calendar) using credentials you provide. We access these services on your behalf and are subject to their respective terms of service. You can disconnect any integration at any time.

7. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party services (Slack, Jira, GitHub, Google).

8. Termination

You may delete your account and data at any time. Workspace administrators may remove users. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our retention policy.
